The Curriculum of Hope for a Peaceful World
Background Information
The Curriculum of Hope for a Peaceful World Committee has been dedicated to promoting peace, protecting the environment and celebrating
diversity
for over
22 years.
There are currently 11 members all active or retired educators,
representing experience in pre-kindergarten through university levels. We are
members of
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International which honors key women educators
in 16 countries. Mainly through that organization, we have established a
network of like-minded recipients of our Newsletter which has been published
continuously
since 1986 and which is included in the University of Connecticut Alternate
Press Archives. The Newsletter has three issues annually with a base distribution
of 950+ people in 19 countries. (Go to Newsletter link to read the latest
issue.)
Over the years we have offered children's fairs, educators conferences, workshops,
keynote speakers and teaching resources to those requesting our services
in CT, our home state, as well as in 15 other states, Stockholm, Sweden and
London,
England. Currently we are expanding a Teacher's Guide to a Peaceful Classroom
which we developed in 2005.
